DESCRIPTION
Bloodbeard's Revenge is a rum soaked retro RPG, based on the swashbuckling adventures of
real life pirate punk rock band Captain Hellfire and The Wretched Brethren.
Featuring classic 16bit era graphics during exploration and digitised actors in battle, it mixes time honoured menu based RPG mechanics with a system of combos and quicktime defence moves.
You play as Bloodbeard, the deranged quartermaster of a rag-tag ship of pirates, overloaded with gold and on the final leg of your voyage home.
But strange beasties have been appearing aboard the ship, and mermaids and other creatures swarm the waters. And worst of all, but for a few stray bottles, the rum is gone!
Perhaps a cursed treasure, pillaged from under the nose of a pagan god be to blame?
Join Bloodbeard and the last non-mutinous members of the crew to solve the mystery, before the whole ship is sunk down to Davy Jones!

Formed in 2014 by Captain Hellfire, lead pirate/singer/songwriter of Captain Hellfire and The Wretched Brethren.
​
Hellfire Studios creates all products related to the Captain Hellfire Extended Universe (CHEU).
The studio consists of Captain Hellfire and his trusty bottle of rum, a loyal companion since the company began.
Video game developers Chris Johnson and Catherine Moore (Moirai, Expand) have recently begun lending a hand with marketing and playtesting the game. And for that reason the Captain can often be seen in local taverns raising a rum cup to the both of them.

On November 24th, 2018 the first chapter of debut video game Bloodbeard's Revenge was released. In 2019 the Captain is set to retreat to his cabin and continue production of the second chapter, release TBA.
